Frosted Sheep

The snow days continue here in mid-Michigan (and across the US from the weather man says).  I'm thankful that all of our livestock have access to shelter if they chose...but they seldom use it in the cold!  The sheep prefer to sleep in the highest, most open spot of their pastures.  But with 4 plus inches of warm, insulating wool I guess I wouldn't mind either ;)

Thinking of all of our friends on these very cold days!  How is everyone doing?  What knitting or spinning projects are you abandoning or starting fresh for the New Year?

Wow, this is been a long stretch of awful. Interesting to hear that the sheep seldom use the shelter. We have our "oreo" cows outside right now, and it's amazing to see the snow build up on their backs like on a well-insulated house roof.

I see the sun this morning. All is well.

Hi Cary, This has been one of the coldest winters I can ever remember! I am really looking forward to summer. I seem to have lost my knitting mojo and frog everything I start. I never have that problem with my spinning.

I really feel sorry for the outdoor critters in this weather. It hasn't been this cold in NC in a long time!! This old Michigan girl will be glad to see things warm up here in NC. Glad to hear you and yours are doing well. No, not much on the needles right now, my cold hands won't cooperate. God Bless! June

Hi Cary,
I am glad that I didn't have to go out and take care of anyone. We shut our cats up in the greenhouse and they were NOT happy with us; but then cats seldom are.
We had to deal with a septic tank problem that has apparently been resolved without calling in anyone. thank goodness. I have been knitting an Mary Kate has been spinning, and staying by a toasty fire. Take care!

I have been practicing my knitting. I still feel like "why do I have two of these and where is the hook?" I have mostly been making scarfs. I did one hat on circular needles too. Also been playing with 3 color Tunisian crochet. LOL More scarfs.
So I am thinking crochet will always be my favorite, but now I can knit by golly!
